Who can join?

To become a member, you must live, work, study or worship in our common bond areas of the Liverpool City Region, West Lancashire, Wigan, Warrington, Chester and Cheshire West.

Save as you borrow

We encourage saving as part of responsible financial management. If you choose to apply for a loan with us, you must ‘save as you borrow.’ With this scheme, you’ll agree to pay a set amount into a savings account each week alongside your loan repayments. You can’t access these savings until your loan is fully repaid. This approach helps you build a financial safety net.

If you’re not borrowing, you don’t have to actively save, but keeping money in your account may qualify you for dividends or future borrowing benefits.

Account charges

We charge an annual membership fee of £5 which covers bank transfers, administration costs and helps with the costs of providing our Life and Loan Protection Insurance. We have no other hidden fees.
